A tragic accident claimed the lives of six people on Friday night, August 9, when a trailer loaded with sugarcane overturned at the Amukpe roundabout in Sapele, Delta State.

The victims, who were reportedly waiting for transportation to Warri, were killed instantly as the trailer toppled over.

Efforts to reach Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, for confirmation were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to calls or messages from our correspondent in Warri.

In the aftermath of the accident, police officers were observed at the scene, working to maintain order and prevent any potential unrest in the area.

The road in that area to Edo State is a death trap. It's when life is loss in Nigeria you will see useless leaders acting.
