Lagos State Police Command has detained Ayodeji Busari for allegedly pushing his 47-year-old brother to his death. The incident occurred in the Iba area of Lagos.
According to police spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the case was reported on August 24. The victim, who had traveled from Port Harcourt to visit a friend in Lagos, was reportedly involved in a confrontation with Busari.
During the altercation, Busari is accused of pushing his brother, causing him to fall and strike his head on a pavement. The victim lost consciousness and was rushed to Igando General Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
Police officials have visited the crime scene, taken photographs, and moved the body to Mainland General Hospital Mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy. The case and suspect have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department at Panti-Yaba for further investigation.
