An aide at the Anambra Government House has reportedly been dismissed following the leak of a video showing Governor Charles Soludo dancing to the popular 'Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo' song. The footage, which quickly went viral, was allegedly recorded during a private moment at the state’s 33rd anniversary celebration.
Sources revealed that the governor had specifically requested that the gathering be off-the-record before beginning the dance alongside other officials and guests. However, one staff member is said to have secretly recorded and shared the video, defying Soludo’s instruction for privacy.
“It was a surprise to the governor that the video leaked,” an insider disclosed. "He had asked everyone to put their cameras away and keep the moment private. We’re still investigating how it got out."
The viral video, which captured Governor Soludo dancing with key personalities, drew widespread attention online. Allegations soon surfaced that the aide responsible for the leak was working for the opposition, leading to the dismissal.
One event attendee commented, "The governor’s action was not meant for public consumption. It was a private moment to bring joy to the occasion. We’re disappointed it was leaked, and steps are being taken to hold those responsible accountable."
Authorities have yet to officially confirm the dismissal or identify the individual behind the video leak.
