Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has confidently declared that he will win the 2027 presidential election. Kwankwaso, who contested the 2023 elections as the party’s presidential candidate, made this bold statement at the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat in Katsina on Saturday, September 7.
Speaking at the event, Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, asserted that the NNPP is fully prepared to take control of the presidency, governorships, and other key positions across Nigeria in 2027. He emphasized that the party is ready to step up and lead the nation.
Kwankwaso also took a dig at his former political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming the party is "already dead." He explained that the decision to leave the PDP came after the party had deviated from its original course.
"We were in the party, but since they have gone out of line, we decided to check out," Kwankwaso said, reaffirming his commitment to the NNPP’s vision for Nigeria’s future.
