The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a driver in connection with the killing of two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji in a fatal accident.
The accident occurred along the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening.
The victims, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola were on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding Toyota Camry. They died at the scene.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the arrest of the driver and stated that the suspect is now in police custody. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to a morgue.
She said, “The bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue, and the driver of the vehicle is now in police custody.”
