In a proactive measure to enforce traffic regulations, the Lagos State Environmental and Security Task Force confiscated the number plates of 28 vehicles parked illegally in front of Cubana Nightclub during a late-night operation on October 4.
Tokunboh Wahab, the state Commissioner for Water and Environment, announced the enforcement action on X, detailing that the operation commenced around 1 a.m. The task force targeted vehicles obstructing traffic along Sobo Arobiodu Road in GRA Ikeja, a known hotspot for nightlife.
“During our night enforcement operation, the task force untied and seized the number plates of vehicles parked in violation of Lagos State traffic regulations,” Wahab stated. “The 28 number plates confiscated have been documented, and the owners of the offending vehicles will be charged to court.”
This initiative underscores the Lagos State government's commitment to maintaining order on the roads and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic, particularly in busy nightlife areas.
