The Lagos State Government, through Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), has directed Local Governments (LGs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) to each submit 500 applicants for military enlistment.

This initiative aims to tackle insecurity in the state by increasing the number of indigenous youths joining the military.

During a quarterly meeting with the Secretaries of the LGs and LCDAs in Ikeja, Mrs. Salu-Hundeyin set a two-week deadline for the submission of the applicants' lists.

She emphasized the need to encourage local youths to participate in national defense efforts to help strengthen security across Lagos.
