Bala Tsoho Musa, the Principal of the Abuja Rehabilitation Center, was tragically murdered by an unidentified assailant on Friday night. Musa, popularly known as "Comrade," was discovered dead within the center’s premises in Kuchiko, Bwari Area Council, Abuja.
The Abuja Rehabilitation Center, established by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), provides skill acquisition training to beggars and those arrested for public nuisance in the territory.
According to sources, Musa’s lifeless body was found alongside his wheelchair. A piece of wood, believed to have been used to strike him on the head, was also discovered at the scene. Two of his mobile phones were reported missing.
A witness explained that the incident went unnoticed by those nearby, possibly due to the noise from a generator. It was a deaf female maid returning to the hostel who raised the alarm after discovering the body.
When contacted, Bwari Divisional Police Officer, CSP Babayola Muhammad, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway to apprehend the culprit.
