Super Eagles stars Ademola Lookman and William Troost-Ekong are in the running for the prestigious 2024 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Men’s Player of the Year award.
Lookman played a key role in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League victory last season, sealing his reputation with a hat-trick in the final match against Bayer Leverkusen. The 27-year-old winger also contributed significantly to Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, scoring three goals across seven appearances.
Troost-Ekong, meanwhile, earned the title of best player at the 2023 AFCON after leading Nigeria to a second-place finish and scoring three goals of his own.
The CAF Awards ceremony will be held on December 16 in Marrakech, Morocco.
