Nigerian-Canadian man Khazad recently weighed in on a trend he perceives among Nigerian men who relocate their families to the UK and later face expulsion from their homes.
He suggested that these situations often involve men who attempt to continue controlling or abusive behaviors after moving abroad.
Khazad's comments came as a response to a viral video of Nigerian lawyer Opeyemi Mabawonku physically assaulting his wife, Abiola, in the presence of their two daughters.
This incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many condemning Mabawonku's actions and others discussing the challenges some Nigerian couples face in adjusting to new dynamics after relocation.
Khazad stated, “The reason Nigerian men get kicked out of their homes when they bring their wives to the UK is that they expect to continue this barbaric behavior. When faced with the consequences, they buy ring lights and start advising others against bringing their wives abroad.”
