A Nigerian woman is in distress after her husband allegedly deleted her newly monetized Facebook page, which had generated over $200 (approximately ₦329,500) in revenue.
In a post shared by Facebook user MamaAfrica Nkeoma Adikaibe, the woman detailed her frustration and sought public opinion on handling such a situation. She stated that her page featured two viral posts that were continuing to attract engagement and revenue before the abrupt deletion.
"My husband deleted my monetized Facebook page that had two viral posts and had earned over $200," the woman shared. "It was supposed to keep spreading and earning, but my husband deleted the page."
Nkeoma explained that the woman had invested considerable effort in building her page to achieve monetization status. However, her husband reportedly disapproved of her foray into online content creation, ultimately leading to the decision to delete the page.
“That’s a message from a lady who has worked hard to build her Facebook page to monetization recently. Just when she started earning, her husband deleted her Facebook account because he doesn't want her to create any content on the platform,” Nkeoma added, highlighting the woman's dedication to her online presence.
The incident has sparked conversations on social media about the dynamics of relationships and support for personal endeavors, particularly in the digital age.
