A yet-to-be identified person has r@ped a two-year-old girl to d3ath Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
 
 
The spokesperson of the command, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, confirmed the tragic incident in a statement on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
 
According to the PPRO, the minor's body was found dumped beside a mosque with suspected signs of r3pe.

Medical report confirmed that the child had suffered severe injuries as a result of penetration, which led to her d3ath.
 
Wakil added that the State Commissioner of Police has ordered a discreet investigation into the heinous crime.
 
“On November 5, 2024, an incident was reported to the Ningi Police Divisional Headquarters that a motionless body of a two-year-old baby was found beside a mosque on Deneva Street, Ningi LGA, with suspected signs of rap3,” the statement read.
 
"Upon receiving the report, detectives were dispatched to the scene, and the victim’s body was taken to the General Hospital Ningi, where a medical report confirmed that the baby had suffered severe injuries as a result of penetration, which led to her d3ath.
 
"Condemning this heinous crime, the Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, psc, Anipr, has directed the Divisional Police Officer to make extra efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
 
"He also called on parents and guardians to ensure the safety of their children and not to allow them to wander around the streets.
 
“The command is soliciting the public’s assistance with any useful information that could help in arresting and prosecuting the perpetrators.”
