Evangelist Ebuka Obi, the founder of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach (ZPMO), has opened up about his decision to remain celibate, revealing that he has never had segxwal intercourse.
In a recent interview with BBC Igbo, Obi explained that he made a vow to God 12 years ago to remain celibate until marriage.
The Imo-born cleric, who boasts nearly 30,000 followers on Instagram, attributed his decision to his strong desire to hear God’s voice clearly.
He emphasized that his celibacy is not influenced by any particular qualities in a woman, but rather by his spiritual commitment.
“I have never dated before. I have never had segxwal intercourse with any woman. Any woman who says I’ve had segxwal relations with her should speak up,” Obi stated.
He further explained that his decision to stay unmarried is due to his longing for divine guidance.
“What is holding me back is that I want to hear the voice of God on it. He has never directed me about marriage. I prayed for 100 days last year to hear from God about it but there was no sign,” he revealed.
Obi also discussed his background, noting that he left his electronic trading business in 2009 to establish Zion Ministry.
Despite not attending theology school, Obi began his prophetic practice at the age of eight and has since defended his prophecies, stating that they are inspired by the Holy Spirit.
