Two occupants of a Mitsubishi Canter tragically died in a crash near the Straight Gate area on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday.
Seni Ogunyemi, the Commandant of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, provided this information in a traffic update to journalists.
According to Ogunyemi, the collision occurred in the early hours of the day as a result of the driver’s excessive speed.
Three male adults were involved in the collision, and two of the victims died, according to the TRACE commander.
“A reported fatal accident at the Straight Gate, Isara-Remo inbound Lagos Ibadan Expressway. Vehicle Involved: Green Mitsubishi Canter, Reg KLG 213 XA.
“According to an eyewitness, the accident was caused due to excessive speed by the driver.
“Three male occupants were involved while two of the occupants died. The presumed dead bodies were taken to the FOS morgue in Ipara-Remo,” the update noted.
