Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), was recently released from police custody following allegations of fraud and money laundering.
His arrest stemmed from an investigation into a real estate scheme allegedly involving billions of naira. The funds were reportedly traced through his church and personal accounts. Pastor Idowu was released after high-profile interventions from top Nigerian government officials and influential clerics.
As part of the resolution, he has been instructed to return the traced funds within two weeks. Despite the controversy, his church remains a prominent organization, attracting tens of thousands of worshippers globally
