In a historic milestone for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Deputy Superintendent Olanike Balogun has been announced as the agency's first female pilot. The announcement, made by NCS spokesperson Abdullahi Maiwada on Sunday, underscores the Service's dedication to advancing gender inclusion and professional excellence.
The Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, praised Balogun’s achievement, calling it a reflection of the organization’s ongoing investment in innovation and capacity development. “Her journey is a powerful reminder of what determination and institutional support can accomplish,” Adeniyi remarked.
In her response, Balogun expressed pride in her groundbreaking accomplishment and encouraged women to remain steadfast in pursuing their ambitions.
