Police Arrest Buhari, Two Other Suspected Gunrunners, Recover Dangerous Weapons

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested one Buhari Suleiman and two other suspected gunrunners.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made this known in a statement on Tuesday, identified the other suspects as Jamil Yakubu and Aliyu Abdullahi.

According to the statement, the suspects were arrested on Monday along the Kaduna-Kano expressway, Kaduna State.

Adejobi stated that the operatives recovered 216 rounds of 9mm live ammunition and one round of Ak-47 ammunition.

“The suspects were apprehended after the police operatives noticed their suspicious activities and approached them to question them.

A subsequent search was conducted, which led to the recovery of 216 rounds of 9mm live ammunition and 1 round of Ak-47 ammunition,” he said.
