AILING Ikemba Nnewi Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu has been transferred to another hospital in London.
He was moved yesterday for what was described as “the last stage of his treatment.”
His transfer coincided with Anambra State Governor Peter Obi’s visit to him.
Obi said God had continued to answer Ndigbo’s prayers for the recovery of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) leader.
Obi spoke after discussing with doctors treating Ojukwu.
He hailed President Goodluck Jonathan and Southeast governors for their love and concern for the Ikemba. Obi urged Ndigbo to continue to pray for Ojukwu
Obi was accompanied to London by a former Minister of Health, Dr. Tim Menakaya; Senator Ben Obi; Ambassador Dozie Nwanna, Acting Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom; Dr. Emeka Nwankwu; Mr. Patty Ubajaka. They said Ojukwu was in high spirits.
Ojukwu will soon resume full physiotherapy, preparatory to his being discharged, it was learnt.
