
Simi Oluwaseyi, the sister of Naomi, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, has shared a concerning update regarding Naomi’s health following her recent arrest in connection with a deadly stampede in Ibadan that claimed 35 lives.
In a series of heartfelt Instagram posts, Simi expressed her condolences to the families of the deceased, particularly the parents of the children who lost their lives in the tragedy. She also voiced her concerns over her sister’s deteriorating health, revealing alarming details of Naomi's detention.
According to Simi, Naomi collapsed on the third day of her interrogation by the Department of State Services (DSS) and was urgently taken to the hospital. Simi further disclosed that prior to Naomi’s arraignment in court, a doctor had confirmed her blood pressure was dangerously high. She also mentioned that Naomi had been denied access to her phone or any contact with her family during her time in custody.
"I deeply sympathize with the families of the children who lost their lives. My sister was arrested and detained for over six days, collapsing on the third day of interrogation by the DSS and being rushed to the hospital," Simi wrote in her post, urging for compassion and understanding during this difficult time.
The tragic incident in Ibadan has sparked widespread concern, and Naomi’s health remains a topic of growing attention as her legal situation unfolds.
