Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, took to social media to mock political commentator Reno Omokri by sharing images of him protesting against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London in 2022.
In the photos shared on El-Rufai’s verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Omokri is seen holding a placard with the words: “No to a drug baron in Aso Rock.”
El-Rufai accompanied the photos with a caption that read: “NIGERIA UPDATE – The interesting lifecycle of Wendell Simlin, also sometimes retained as a political mercenary by any person or government that can pay”
Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, was once a staunch critic of Tinubu but has recently shifted to supporting his administration. This sudden change has sparked discussions about the consistency of his political allegiances.
