A school building in Fakai village, reportedly repurposed as a food storage facility by notorious bandit leader Bello Turji, has been demolished.
Local sources revealed that the structure, originally intended for educational purposes, had been converted into a key logistical hub by the bandits, storing large quantities of food supplies to sustain their operations in the region.
The building and its stockpile of provisions were completely destroyed, dealing a significant blow to Turji’s network. Analysts believe the demolition will disrupt the group’s supply chain and weaken their ability to operate effectively in the area.
Counter-terrorism expert Zagazola Makama highlighted the significance of the operation, emphasizing it as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle bandit strongholds and restore order to affected regions.
Residents of Fakai village have expressed optimism that the action signals a stronger commitment to combating banditry and achieving lasting peace in the area. Many hope the operation marks the beginning of more decisive steps to curtail the activities of criminal groups in the region.
