The mother of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has urged women aged 40 to 60 to embrace TikTok for its mental health benefits and encouraged Gen Z to support their parents in exploring the platform.
Reflecting on her own experience, she noted that since joining TikTok, her perspective has shifted, making her more creative in fashion and other aspects of life.
“If your mom is between 40, 50, and 60, encourage them to be on TikTok because it helps them mentally. I’m on TikTok now, and I can testify to it,” she said.
“My thinking now is different from before. I’m always thinking creatively about how I want to create new things, how I want to look, and how I want to dress so you guys can see how I’m looking. Let them come and teach us their experience in life. You don’t have to dance like me. I like to dance.”
She believes that by engaging with TikTok, older women can enhance their creativity and share valuable life experiences with younger generations.
