Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted a major consignment of Colorado, a potent synthetic strain of cannabis, en route to Jigawa State.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy at NDLEA Headquarters in Abuja, a total of 65 parcels, weighing 1.6 kilograms, were seized at a checkpoint on Saturday, February 8.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Rufai Hassan, was arrested in connection with the illicit drug haul. Authorities say investigations are ongoing, as the agency continues its crackdown on drug trafficking across the country.
