Media personality, Ossai Ovie Success has warned that legendary singer 2Face Idibia could face up to five years in prison if he marries Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru while still going through a divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.

Gistmania recalls that 2face Idibia recently proposed to Hon. Natasha Osawaru, just weeks after announcing the end of his 12-year marriage to Annie Idibia.

Reacting on his social media page, Ossai Ovie Success expressed his disappointment, criticizing the timing of 2Face’s proposal to Natasha, and calling it inappropriate.

He stated that under Nigerian law, the singer cannot legally remarry until his divorce is finalized, stressing that anyone who marries while still legally bound to a spouse could face up to five years in prison.

The media personality stressed that proceeding with another marriage before legally dissolving the first one would be considered “bigamy”, which is a criminal offense in Nigeria.

Ossai urged 2Face to finalize his divorce before making any further commitments to avoid legal consequences.

He wrote,
Quote
“I’m disappointed in 2face, considering the timing of his proposal to Natasha. After watching the proposal video, I wondered, “Does he know what he’s doing?” The fact is that 2face can’t marry Natasha while going through divorce proceedings with Annie.

“Doing so would constitute bigamy, punishable under Section 370 of the Criminal Code Act (CCA) 1990, with imprisonment for up to five years.

“According to Nigerian law, specifically the Matrimonial Causes Act (MCA) 1990 and Section 47 of the Marriage Act 1990, one must finalize their divorce before entering into a new marriage.

“Any marriage contracted while a previous marriage is still subsisting is null and void. Therefore, 2face cannot legally marry Natasha until his divorce is finalized. If he proceeds, his first spouse can file a complaint, leading to prosecution for bigamy. “

This is not quite correct. He does not have to marry in a church or registry, they do native law.

Why do people cry over another person's private business? So, they were married, he knows he has to divorce or marry the next one traditionally. Don't kill him!
