The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a woman identified as Deborah for allegedly st@bbing her two friends, Adebayo Omokehinde and Kolapo Aishat, during a scuffle in the Aiyetoro area of the state.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to Punch on Thursday stated that the suspect allegedly fled the scene after committing the crime but was apprehended days later.
According to the PPRO, on January 30, 2025, the suspect allegedly attacked the victims, st@bbing them multiple times with a broken bottle and inflicting severe injuries before fleeing the scene.
“Deborah allegedly st@bbed them multiple times on their Bosom s, hands, eyes, and other parts of their bodies in a vicious assault that left both in critical condition. The suspect immediately absconded, evading arrest for nearly two weeks,” she stated.
"However, luck ran out for her on February 12, 2025, when our officers successfully apprehended her. Upon questioning, Deborah confessed to committing the crime.
"Medical reports were immediately issued to the victims, directing them to a general hospital for urgent treatment.
“Meanwhile, upon completion of investigations, the suspect will be charged in court to face prosecution.”
