Tigran Gambaryan, a detained Binance executive, has accused Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, of soliciting funds for political ambitions while refuting government claims that $26 billion left the country through cryptocurrency transactions.
In response, the Nigerian government, through a statement signed by the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, dismissed Gambaryan’s allegations, urging the public to disregard them.
However, addressing the government's rebuttal on his X handle, Gambaryan insisted that he had laid out the facts for Nigerians to see.
"Maybe you should get your facts straight before posting. I was invited by the Nigerian FIU to a meeting in January, and the last time I checked, they are part of the government," he wrote.
He also accused authorities of attempting to use him as leverage and misleading the public about his health status while he was in detention.
"You dragged my name through the mud for the past year with zero evidence, nearly killed me, and caused trauma to my family. Now, you have the nerve to talk about defamation?" he stated.
Gambaryan further challenged the government’s legal claims, questioning why their attorneys failed to appear in court for his human rights case.
His explosive remarks have added fresh controversy to his ongoing legal battle with Nigerian authorities.

Gambaryan has now hit back, accusing the Nigerian government of "foolishness".
