Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, has shared her personal journey of self-acceptance following an emergency surgery in 2024.
The actress, who previously admired her toned stomach, revealed that the procedure left a scar on her body. However, rather than allowing it to affect her confidence, she has chosen to embrace self-love.
In a heartfelt message shared alongside a video from her Valentine’s Day photo shoot, Omotola reflected on overcoming insecurity and choosing gratitude for life.
"Loving yourself first is the greatest Valentine’s gift," she wrote.

"Last year, I had emergency surgery. One of the parts of my body I loved most was my tummy. Oh well, not so perfect now. But during this shoot, I caught myself adjusting my top and heard a voice say, ‘There’s nothing to show anymore.’”
She went on to affirm her confidence, stating,

"Not me! Nothing can shake my confidence. I smiled and danced. I’m alive—it’s just scars. Some people’s scars are physical, others are emotional, but today, smile, dance, and be proud. You’re still here, and you look amazing!"
