GADAFFI WHO CLAIMED THE LEADERSHIP OF LIBYA WAS HIS FAMILY'S BIRTHRIGHT HAD SHIFTED HIS RIGID POSITION OF HOLDING ON TO POWER TILL DEATH, BY CONSIDERING THE OPTIONS GIVEN TO HIM BY THE PROTESTERS. HE WAS GIVEN A 72 HOURS ALTIMATUM TO STEP DOWN BY THE LIBYA'S NATIONAL COUCIL  OR FACE A MORE TOUGHER TIME FROM THEM. HE THEREFORE SHIFTED HIS POSITION BY SAYING THEY SHOULD PROMISE HIM NOT TO WITCH HUNT HIM AND MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY SHOULD HE STEP DOWN. MEANING HE ASKED TO BE PROMISED NOT TO BE TRIED BY THE LIBYA GOVERNMENT.
HE MADE A STAEMENT FROM THE STATE TELEVISION TODAY THAT HE HAD STEP DOWN!
HOW ARE THE MIGHTY FALLING!!!

WELL i am a bit surprised that he is stepping down after all the mouth he made about holding on to power and fighting everybody to the last man. That goes to show that we Africans are tired of power-hungry leaders that do not want to relinquish power. it also shows that it is necessary to stand up to protect our votes........
