A spike in killings and kidnappings by bandits has reportedly driven residents of Guga, Kakumi, and Kandarawa in Bakori Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State to abandon their homes.
This escalation of violence comes despite the state government's launch of the C-Watch initiative, aimed at enhancing security in the region.
A source, @DanKatsina50 which shared a picture of the residents fleeing their villages lamented that "insecurity worsens in Southern Katsina," especially during this Ramadan.
