A Nigerian TikToker has sparked controversy after alleging that he was arrested by police for participating in the ongoing "30-Day Rant Challenge," where creators voice their grievances about the government.
In a series of viral videos circulating on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), the content creator recounted how he and his team were heading to a local market to film when they were intercepted by law enforcement officers.
“We were picked up at the market square while shooting content for the 30-day rant challenge. We spent over three hours at the station,” he stated, expressing frustration over the incident.
The TikToker further accused the police of unjust treatment and criticized the government’s handling of dissenting voices.
The videos have since gained momentum online, drawing reactions from Nigerians, with many condemning the alleged clampdown on free speech and creative expression. Authorities are yet to respond to the claims.
