Controversial Nigerian musician Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, has requested that his fans hold him accountable for his actions and avoid linking his lifestyle to his religion.

He remarked that while Islam is “perfect,” its followers are not. He urged fans to focus on his personal faults instead of blaming his faith.

On his X handle, the singer wrote, “Islam is perfect, Muslims are not. If I make mistake, blame me, but not my religion.”

His post elicited mixed reactions.
