Sonia highlighted that she fell in love with him because he brought back her smile and made her feel safe.

She noted that she isn't the same person she was the previous year because of him and praised him for silencing the noise in her head and giving her peace. She also mentioned their deep friendship and profound spiritual bond, expressing her love for the moments and memories they've shared, including intellectual conversations about politics. She promised that as long as she was alive and breathing, he would never walk alone.
Sonia and Jude Ighalo were married for almost a decade before their marriage ended in 2020. Since their separation, Sonia has occasionally shared aspects of her personal life on social media, including her appreciation for her new partner.
