A devastating accident on the Oyo-Ogbomoso Road has resulted in the loss of several lives, with the victims being students on their way to take the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
The tragic incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, April 24, when a commercial vehicle transporting the students to a JAMB centre in Ogbomoso lost control. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the vehicle’s brakes failed, leading to the fatal crash.
A video of the scene, now circulating on social media, captures the heartbreaking aftermath of the accident, with the caption, "Fatal accident claimed the lives of students heading to take JAMB in Ogbomoso on Oyo road, Oyo State."
As of press time, attempts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer for Oyo State, Adewale Osifeso, for an official comment on the incident have been unsuccessful. Authorities are yet to release further details or confirm the exact number of casualties.
