It's Haram To Marry A 2nd Wife While The 1st Is Suffering In Your Hands' - Islamic Scholar Says

A Nigerian Islamic scholar, Al Hussein Sunnah, has said that it's wrong for a man to marry a second wife when his first wife is suffering due to financial hardship and lack of maintenance.

“It is haram not Sunnah to marry a second wife while the first wife is suffering in your hands in financial and maintenance,” he wrote.

Yes he's right...it's a basic thing every Muslim should know. If you can't maintain one woman it is forbidden you to add a second.
