Sorry, the case here is that the sister has been making him sad while Vivian attempted conforting him on behalf of her sister who has like refused to change.
The guy is now falling & has proposed to Vivian (probably due to desperation) and the surrounding people are in favour while Vivian is in doubt if her sister is serious in letting go the guy.

Money is not the issue here, if not she could have gone right ahead without asking for opinions.
Her issue is how proper could she marry someone who had slept with her sister!
