Austrian born Nigerian Lydia Nnenna OBUTE won the 2011 edition of Austria’s next top model.
Austria's Next Top model is an Austrian reality documentary based on Tyra Banks America's Next Top Model that pitch contestants against each other in a variety of competitions to determine who will win the title as Austria's Next Top model, with a prize including an advertising campaign deal for Swarovski a luxury Jewellery manufacturer, as well as a spot among the top 20 of the fourth Cycle of Germany's Next Top model.
The host of the show Lena Gercke, was the pioneer winner of Germany's Next Top model.
The 2011 edition tagged “Cycle 3” is the third Cycle of the Austrian reality documentary with the theme "Wer ist die Schönste im ganzen Land?" (Who in the Country is the most beautiful?).
Prizes for the winner were a front cover spot on Austrian magazine Woman, the face of the newest Hervis Sports campaign as well as two runway jobs at the Milan and Paris Fashion Week.
This time around, significant changes were made in the casting process: The first episode featured castings in all nine Austrian federal states with the top 4 of each states qualifying for a spot in the first episode. Here the top 4 competed again with the favourite of each state making the final cast directly. The remaining girls still had a shot with the possibility of receiving a wildcard. In the end five girls were selected making it a total of top 14.
