Nigerian Tribune learnt that Danasabe Mohammed and Abubakar Gambo, both residents of Glow Office area in Tunga Area of Minna, had gone on indian hemp smoking spree on Monday evening and as they returned home, a minor disagreement ensued between them.
As a result, it was learnt that Gambo took a stick and attempted to hit his friend who evaded the attack.
It was further gathered that, Mohammed, who was carrying a dagger promptly brought it out and stabbled Gambo in the neck.
Gambo later died of overbleeding before getting to the hospital.
Nigerian Tribune learnt that those who were at the scene of incident raced after Mohammed when he tried to run away before the police arrived to apprehend him.
After his arrest, some commercial motobike operators who were doubtful that the police would do justice to the assailant, followed the suspect to the Tudun Wada police station where he was initially detained before being transferred to the state police headquarters for “security reasons”.
The remains of Gambo, aged 25 years was later handed over to his parents for burial according to Islamic rites.
When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) in the state, ASP Richard Oguche Adamu said he had not received details of the incident.
