The members of the Yusufiyya sect popularly known as Boko Haram said that they will not accept the amnesty, which the Governor Elect Alhaji Kashim Shettima promised to offer them. The spokesman of the sect who gave his name as Abu Dardam in a BBC Hausa programme monitored in Maiduguri, stressed that their reason of not accepting the amnesty is that they don’t recognise democracy as a form of government.
The group also faulted the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying that justice can only be found in the Holy Quran, that is Shariya system of government.
Reacting the Borno state Commissioner of Home Affairs Information and Culture Mr. Hyeladi Inuwa Bwala, appealed to the group to see reason and embrace dialogue with a view to restore lasting peace in Borno state.
He said most wars and crisis in the world were settled mostly through dialogue, and therefore called on the group to see wisdom in the amnesty offer and come to a round table for dialogue.

That's a shame. That's the most annoying thing about this Boko Haram people- they want to impose their religion on Nigerians. As long as you do not believe in the Quaran, you are meant to be killed. Insane. SMH I just pity Christians and any other non-Islamic believer in the North cause what they see everyday has got to be some serious ish.

u know, i ve always wondered if there were any sense in offering amnesty to these set of people in the first place. why can't governments take their stand to maintain law and order within the states? It's very understandable when u re agitating for a just cause, but what can we call this? I think the right thing for Jonathan's lead administration to do now is to commit non northern indigenous military men to those volatile part of the north to maintain peace and order, seeing that most of the northern soldiers that were sent over there in the past usually takes sides. Those religious sects have no right whatsoever to hold the state to ransom. if they cannot co-exist with other Nigerians and live a normal life like every other human being then too bad. they should be force to obey the laws simple.

This "Boko Haram" pple should be cut off from the face of Nigeria cos they are useless. Imagine them rejecting amnesty that they don't deserve. Apart from been illiterates they are also born-fools. God will handle them sha when it's time, since they don't want peace.

I think our govt is too soft with this criminals and killers. Why not start killin them?? All they do is to put them in jail and in a short period others wil come for them and there will be prison break. They came out and re-unite again. Rubbish!!
