I do not know what the labour code says in Nigeria. If the same as in my country (Cameroon) I will advice you do not resign but become even more stubborn so that he can sack you. (stubborn like lateness, rudeness etc, not shortages in revenue). This will make him dismiss you then you can report your case at the labour office, drafting your appeal "Abitrary Dismissal" and the labour office will judge the matter and calculate your dismissal rights, annual leave payment etc.
I did the same thing like that to the proprietor of a school who claimed to have so much money but when we found ourselves at the labour office, his money was nothing compared to my mastery of the law on that matter.
I will advice all citizens to master what the law says in certain issues, you do not neccesarily need to be a lawyer.
In my country, this service is offered free of charge.
