over 200 youth corps members that were evacuated by the Lagos State government from the northern part of the country due to election violence have refused to return to their places of primary assignment.
The state Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr Tola Kasali said this at the annual ministerial news conference to mark four years in office of the state governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN), on Wednesday.
According to him, the corps members have been reporting at the Lagos State secretariat of the NYSC, vowing not to return to their places of primary assignment in the North.
The corps members were flown in from Kano, Bauchi and Jigawa to Lagos, on board Arik Airlines about a month ago, following the killings in the troubled areas.
In my Opinion I think they should go back to their respective places of Service else that will be DISOBIDIENCE to Nigerias Authority. Or am I wrong?

what do u mean by the word disobedient, people that willing to saved their county, have be slutter like a goat, those human eater over the north, should be taking to zoo to live with wide animal, Corpers shon united u guys stand divided u fall, stay with one mind and no division u guys should not go back atleast there is other state in the country to be saved.

I dont blame them at all.i 4 one i wanted this to be scraped or all corpers should be posted to their states of origin.2 yrs ago i lost a niece who was hale and hearthy,but bcos she refused advances from a big for nothing boy from NIGER state she was eventually raped and strangled,despite all facts pointing to this hifulating bastard,nothing came out of it.emagine?

This is Arrant Non sense! wetin be serve Nigeria? NIGERIA KNOWS NO CITIZEN IN NIGERIA "expecially if you are still coming up". I pray they won't go back else they will be endangering their lifes. If your relative is amongst such people, will you let them go? Infact, Nigeria should divide so that all this craps the call NYSC will stop. Nigeria should change their constitution. In other countries, a child has to serve his/ her country after high school which is equivalent to secondary school. F that Northern Nigerian stuff.

I can see that you are very good law abiding citizen soon you will be elected as President of this country. But, i want you to know that if one of your relatives were among the people that were killed you will never support education talkless of NYSC, How many people were killed, burnt inside houses? How many people were declared been killed and compeciated by the federal government of Nigeria? A life can never be value, even if the person is from a poor family background no one knows what tomorrow has for individual, Late M.K.O Abiola that sleeps in wealth came from a very poor family background. So tell me if N5million is the price for a life. I had a news three days ago that Dr. Derick Fashun ( OPC Leader ) was saying it that there should be a reform on the NYSC that students should be serving at their respective regional zone, which every one from the south, south east and South West will all support, but the Northerns regets the move via our Ex-Vice President Atiku Abu barka, who says no to the move. So, my fellow brothers and sisters ( NYSC corp members ) please your lives worth more than billions of Pounds so stay back and let lagos state see to the matter, before taking any step.
