Naijapals Personality Of The Year 2011 Kicks Off (Nominations Opened) [UPDATE 1]

To all my Naijapals, I am pleased to announced that the 2011 Edition of the Naijapals Personality Of The Year Award, Kicks off with immediate effect.

This year will surely be bigger, better and stronger. The star prize will be announced in the last week of June 2011.

Nominations will be opened for just four weeks and we hope to get a winner by August after two rounds of voting; this will coincide with the fourth anniversary of the website.

As usual the rules remains the same, you can nominate yourself or nominate a friend by replying this thread with their screen name (username).

Update:

The management has decided to give out prizes to both the winner of this year's NPYA and the first runner up.

Winner - Customized Ipad 2
The star prize will be a customized 16GB edition of the latest Apple Ipod2 - With the winners Name, which will come in the winner's choice of color (Black/White).

TIMELINES
The nomination phase will last for just 2 weeks; this will be closed on the 15th of June 2011. After which a list of eligible participants (active members with REAL profile photos) will be compile for the first round of voting.

Voting round 1: The first round of voting will is aimed at producing the top ten finalists for the competition. This round of voting will be opened on the 16th of June 2011 and will end on the 31 of June 2011.
The top ten members with most votes will be selected as finalists on the 31st of June.

Voting round 2: This round of voting will commence on 1st of July 2011 and will end on the 31st of July 2011.
The Winner of this round of voting automatically becomes the Naijapals personality of the year for 2011 and the next person with most votes will be the runner up and both will receive their prizes accordingly.
