Now, who is to be blamed? is it the okada man or the policemen or the passenger Huh? Huh?

Why are you asking this type of question? Grin Grin Grin the police of course. they mounted roadblock at a bad point ---at the foot of a hilly-part of the road that is not safe for any form of stop. that is why the useless truck couldn't avert going straight. Bribery is something that goes on on daily bases, forget the name they call it; that is why the cyclist was begging the police that he had not realized such such amount by that time. Grin Grin Grin

Onye mara ihe wu ihe di nma ya mee ya. If the okada man gave his passenger a helmet all this could have been avoided. Nigerian citizens should know by now that Nigerian police are corrupt and would look for the slightest reasons to extort you of your money so why do people still insist on doing things that will make them victims. Onye akpala nwa agu aka na odu ma odi ndu ma onwuru anwu that way you wouldn't worry about putting your life at risk.

Nigerians are too fast to condem as if they were in such a position they would be a saint. We don't listen to other side of the story before we ask for the head of the accuser. All this would never help our cause for development. Bring him/her down syndrome mentality has been the norm that pervade our society. The law for helmet is for the public good which must be enforced. The okadaman broke the law should have been arrested which inconsequential might be the end of the for the okadaman and his business for that day or who knows when which was the reason the law enforcement considered in asking for egunje. If the law was followed to the letter the law enforcement would be accused of high handedness. The lesser of the two evil is the shame it brought to the executing the law. All this jungle justice or taken laws into our hand must stop. It's unfortunate the accident that took place only to leave a sour taste in the mouth pf the okadaman to loose both leg in the unfortunate accident.

You would have rather blamed the OKADA for not giving the police #1000 than to accept that the ROADBLOCK is at a WRONG POINT. How long should we continue with corrupt Police while they promise to make amend on daily bases.YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG HERE. Police know how to do their work well if they want; that is why THEY ALWAYS APOLOGIZE WHEN THEY COMMIT. Public life is already at risk and all these things are there in expectation.People are always worried ahead of time and yet it happens.

are you a police by the way?

The law for helmet and it's enforcement is for safety of course. What do you say about mounting ROADBLOCK at the foot or base of a hilly-road? Are you saying that police doesn't know that such place doesn't need any form of stop or that traffic police must have never seen them there, or are you  just a bad-Nigerian-police-agent on the net to deceive Nigerians in diaspora?
If police were at the right place, of course they know how to handle the Okada who violated the law. Let us condemn what is evil and stop condoning an embarrassment that police cannot be proud of.

POLICE IS THE COURSE OF THE WHOLE THING. THE OKADA-MAN DID NOT RUN

Psalm 91 :1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 27:5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.

GOD IS OUR SHELTER FROM NIGERIA POLICE. Angry Angry Angry Angry

Chineke! This is so sad. The policemen should have been trapped under that truck as well, greedy bums. Too bad for Nigeria.

Im glad you said that they were supposed to arrest him. But did they? No; instead they decided to take laws into their own hands by demanding a fee from him. It would have been better if they had just arrested him and taken him to jail if he was refusing to give up the keys. What happened was just greediness and power corruption at its peak in Nigeria. No excuses for the police whatsoever. If a citizen commits a crime, they are supposed to deal with it the right way. Hence, this was wrong.
