“I have been told by my husband to look for another man to sleep with me,” exclaims Bosun, 45. Initially, she thought it was a joke.
“But I realized how serious this is when he sleeps off before I get to our bedroom and I would have to watch him all night. His standing rule is: don’t wake me after I have slept. I dare not wake him up for any discussion in the night because he would not listen and would keep saying that I have resuscitated his migraine! By the time he wakes up, I am ready to go to work, he also goes to his business and we both come back in the evening. He makes sure he runs to the bedroom and sleeps before I am through with the chores in the kitchen. I have tried talking to him but he keeps telling me to get another man to have sex. It is almost two years now and he has not laid a finger on me. I have decided not talking about this anymore but I am seriously searching for a man who would take his place. If he has a problem with his reproductive organ, he should talk to me about it and stop behaving as if he is teaching me a lesson on perseverance!”
Ted’s marriage is almost collapsing. “My wife is always complaining of aches every night,” he says. According to him, they are through with child-bearing and his wife has refused to get a good family planning device. “She would tell me that we can employ the safe period method instead. But what happens to me when she is not safe and I want sex? As usual, her response would be that I exercise patience. Whenever I tried forcing my way through, she would complain of headaches, body pains and other senseless excuses. Though I have settled for a young lady outside of my marriage, who takes care of my segxwal needs now, there are times I really desire to have my wife and she would reject me. Already, she senses that I am seeing another woman because I hardly ask her again. This is tearing our marriage apart.”
