God forbid, they are never worshiping the same God.
The god of the muslim is a teritorial god whch is been worshiped in mecca even before muhammed which is called "allah" and associated with the cresent moon and star and when muhammed take the mantel of prophetship that's why he said "i was called to server the god of this city, the god of this kahaba" with this i don't think we need any prophet to xplan further. 'Ye shal know the truth and the truth shal set you free'

No, Christians and Muslims do not worship the same God.

Christians worship God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and these three are One.  Only one God.

Men are made in the image of God.  Mankind is mind, body and spirit and these three are one person.  Each person is made up of mind, body and spirit...one person.

I say perceived because Christians do not worship 3 Gods, who happen to be 1.

Christians worship 1 God, and the 3, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the 1 God.

From the outside looking in, it may seem that way but it actually makes perfect sense, according to God. 

No, Christians do not have 3 Gods.
Yes, 3 distinct persons but not persons as we are.  The God Christians worship is Spirit. 
Yes, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is God. 

There is so much more to just knowing this with one's mind, it's a spiritual knowledge that is received from God's Spirit to our spirit.  To start, one must have a spirit or be spiritually born (or born again-spiritually) to receive what is necessary have some understanding of Jehovah God, as Christians know Him.
