A police orderly attached to Abia State Governor Theodore Orji allegedly shot dead his colleague on Tuesday morning, witnesses told the News Agency of Nigeria in Umuahia.

Witnesses said that the incident took place about 4.3 a.m. at the residence of the deceased, whose name was simply given as Clement.

NAN gathered that the suspect allegedly went to Clement’s residence when an argument that ensued between them led to the shooting of the deceased.

NAN learnt that after killing his victim, the suspect started shooting sporadically into the air and attracted the attention of other security personnel at the Government House, Umuahia.

NAN further learnt that a military man shot the suspect in order to disarm him.
