Quote from: drnoel on 11-08-2011 07:19 PM Guys I heard this gist some days ago, I was told it happened 2 someone I knew in Lagos. A lady completed her NYSC and was looking 4 employment, so she tried 2 speak with a lot of her connections 4 help (una sabi a in be 4 naija). Anyway, along the line of her looking 4 the job a couple in her church approached her with an offer. They said they could promise 2 get her a job in an oil company cos the man worked in one of the oil companies, if she would,........get pregnant 4 them. ![]() The girl in question said nothing but asked them 2 continue speaking. The couple told her that they have been observing her everytime she came 2 church and they like her personality that is why they want 2 help her. The couple said naturally, if the girl agreed they will start her on a salary of 150k for starters and get her a car as she will be sleeping with the man (couple) till she gets pregnant. Once she takes in, they will increase her pay 2 as high as 250k till she gives birth, then they would pay her off with 5 mil. They told her 2 think about it and give them an answer after 3 days. If you were in her shoes, what would your reply 2 this kind of proposal be? Guys, if the situation is revised and it happens 2 u, how would u reply the couple? well in this day and Time you do not have to sleep with the man to carry his child, but still if I carry a child in my womb for nine months and push it out, no amount of money will allow me give my baby away

I dont like the look of this offer......it will turn bad!!! and besides if she give birth and she's later very worried about her child, she may come back for him/her and it may cause trouble..anyway, i wish ur friend good luck!! but i still insist, its no good!....The couples should go and adopt a child or wait for God's intervention Reply

I do feel sorry for this vulnerable young girl, though the offer is tempting, but what about the consequence of being label or at the middle of whole thing the couple decided to walk away, if the child to be born has disability she will be left to bear the blame.Anyway, church is just like an hospital many or different people with different ailments.Nowadays, people are gullible to so many things especially when it comes to money as bible says "money is the root of all evils" but money can serve as defence in many cases. True and as it is we don't really have surrogate motherhood in our culture but it seems that it is slowly seeping in, with funny offers like this. The lady in question took a few weeks 2 think about it and then confided in me. Confucius says: Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do.

Simply immoral the couples should rather pray for their own babies if they cant..and cant look for a surrogate mum who will simply donate her egg rather than eager in act of fornication and adultery then they should adopt one Reply
