What's in a name?

[color=blue]The other day I listened to a pastor berating parents of the kinds of names they give their wards. According to him, what a child becomes in life is a poduct of the names he bear. "Chioma" a name which means good god is likely to endowed the child with godly and stately qualities. Well, my own name name is Adikwu-which means "Father of death". Far as I am concerned however, I have never taken anyone's life or will ever deliberately.

So my question is: does the name one bears have bearing on one's conduct?[/color]

I don't think it's a determining factor in ones conduct although it can affect how some people view you before they really know you.

you have the power from God to make yr name affect you negatively or positively. At times is better to change the name entirely.
