i think dat should b respected...though d other can always offer to pay but not witout his/her go ahead.

Depends on who asked who out. If it's the dude, then he should and MUST pay both the tips and bill. If the gurl asked him out, then she should pay for it because he may not have the money. Don't be asking nobody out if haven't got the money to fully pay for everything.
