As long as there is a great demand for sex in Nigeria, prostitution will never end.

How sad that this is an issue that we are talking about at this time. There is boko haram, taking away of government subsidy from petrol, etc but it is legalising prostitution that is making the headlines.

Really sad

naija self, chei...I tot we always count one before two, we have so many problems in that country that needs immediate attention than legalizing prostitution now. Anyway i havent seen the senate passes any bill that was useful to the poor masses. They always passes a bill that will be useful to them at the long run. Imitating has been kill us in that country, bcoz other countries has been doing it, lets do it. Why not do something other countries can imitate us fools  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

legalizing prostitution is great and this is why.it will enable govt to regulate it and protect the women..........by regulating it ,govt is going to issue licenses that is subject to health check ,collect taxes and make availabe alternative ventures so that any women who wants to get out will have the neccessary imformation to do so............It will protect the women against all forms of abuses and exploitation especially underage young girls.....This women will not be afraid to report such abuses...this is how its done in more than 60 countries around the world where it is legal..............I know that a lot you have this moral judgement about this group of people but nobody willl choose this profession if there are available alternative to survive in a country like nigeria.......The problem is not prostitute, but the govt that has faile the citizens of nigeria.....prostitution is not gong to dissappear into thin air,let face it.its the world oldest profession and will be there for hundreds of years to come..nobody can change that...so lets be realistic......let the nigeria police fucus on more serious crimes like  robbery and kidnapping......the senator was right....
