A UK based Nigerian nurse Omolayo Abayomi has lost her nursing licence, the 51years old panicked and chose to pray for  the emergency patient instead of treating the baby. According to DailyMail;

    "Omolayo Abayomi 'panicked' when the child, who suffered from a chronic lung disease, turned blue and stopped breathing in his cot at home.
    The 51-year-old called for divine intervention more than 20 times before the vulnerable boy's mother told her to 'shut up'.
    'The nurse was constantly saying "Jesus help him" and waving her arms around"

What a horrible situation. Do you think the nurse deserves what she got or did the baby's parents, the court and the Nursing body go too far?

GOD will get her a new good job. I enjoin her not to regret because the JESUS she called will not leave her nor forsake her.

Mark 10:18
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is,] God.

Let us call a spade what it is: she made bad judgment. I'm not a nurse but I dont't think nurses were taught to pray first before administering the right medication, or notifying authority for emergency. I also think it is part of the medical psychology/studies to avoid being overcome by emotions in case of emergency. She could have saved herself the headache by just calling in the doctors, other nurses, DNR team and EMS.

Poster more information is needed: was she alone in the hospital, was she a personal nurse to the patiant, did she hit the panic button to alert the doctors etc?
It is unfornate it happened to her, the authorities would revisit her case with time. But now, they have to take such extreme measure to calm down some anger.

I dont understand this , im also living in holland it would be a thesame situation that she is been fired she has been in europe for a long time  She supposed to know that when it comes to health issues, western world doesnt see prayer als first medication. medication first before anything.  prayer is the key, we all know but this situation medication first then praten for the medication to work  but its Too bad she looses her nusing license like this. she lost her license cos they think she dosent know what she was doing and they know medical studies is not enclosed with what she did'
Anything that happends to u good or bad just give thanks to GOD

Sadly, she should have been fired because it was a situation that could result in the lost of life. Her actions could have also cost the hospital millions in a malpractice and wrongful death law suit and settlement.  However, to revoke her license is extreme. It makes me wonder if this was her first instance of incompetence.

I feel sorry her. She just panicked but I would have felt more sorrow for the family had they lost their child to gross incompetence.
